You know you live in an age of technological advances when...
Your 15-month old son pretends to text right along with you
Your 15-month old son can still have storytime with grandma, even when grandma is 500 miles away. :-( / :-) (bonus is that he can't rip pages this way!!)
Welcome to our family blog! We are the Bergen Family. Justin and Laura joined their lives and love on 07/07/07. We have been blessed with two incredible little boys who are the light of our lives: Braxton Scott (age 2) and Kaden Henry (9 months). In June 2010 we packed up and left our hometown, friends and family to follow our dreams of moving to Colorado Springs, CO. Everyone thought we were a little crazy, but the Lord's leading to CO was strong so we followed. We couldn't be happier out here and are loving spending our evenings in the cool mountain breeze. We hope you enjoy a little peek into our lives through our blog.
Justin
Justin works as a Quality Assurance Engineer for Fluke Networks. He graduated from Wichita State University in 2006 with a BBA in Management Information Systems and a minor in Computer Science. In short, he's a genius. :-) (at least Laura thinks so!) He is loving the mountains of CO and any free Saturday is spent hiking or climbing. He also enjoys riding his motorcycle, writing computer programs, wrestling with Braxton and playing his Xbox 360.
Laura
Laura is a stay at home mom and part time choreographer. She graduated from Friends University in 2009 with her BA in Music Theater. She helped start up Christian Youth Theater in Wichita and has choreographed shows and camps for them. She has also directed dramas for Adventures in Character. She is currently the choreographer for Forestgate Community Theatre. She loves cooking, learning how to trim their grocery budget, hiking and becoming more "outdoorsy", pilates, photography and spending time with her three favorite boys!
Braxton, "Pooh Bear"
Braxton is our calm, snuggly child! He loves to snuggle in the mornings and surprise us with big bear hugs. He is very affectionate to those he loves, especially his little brother. A few of his favorite things are books, riding on the motorcycle with daddy, playing with his friends, Elmo, building with Duplos and skyping Grandma back in KS. He loves music and dancing (like mommy!) and is obsessed with motorcycles (like daddy!). His favorite foods are PB&J sandwiches, grapes and bananas...but not green beans!
Kaden, "Tigger"
Kaden is our bouncy, always-on-the-go child. He is one of the happiest little guys and is a very easy baby but he always keeps us on our toes. A few of his favorite things are crawling, climbing, bouncing, pulling up, and walking behind his push-toy. He has a smile that will brighten your day and he adores his big brother. Some of his favorite foods are cheerios, bananas and peas...but not green beans!
